Additional Features and Amenities 4025 Dover Street History:
This charming Storybook Ranch was commissioned on land from Shifferdecker’s farm in Wheat Ridge on August 20, 1955.  A local doctor contracted the custom home for his young family, entrusting its build to six local craftsmen for the sum of $29,000, plus extras. The doctor chose a chateau style for the exterior, using flagstone to finish, shake roof, leaded glass, and extensive detailing. For the interior the doctor specified Brazilian mahogany trim and paneling throughout, including the coffered living room ceiling, bird’s eye maple in the kitchen, and three full bathrooms, including a five-piece bath off of the master bedroom. The star features of the house include his period bar in the basement, and extensive custom details such as the unique shower doors, stone planters, full wall of windows across the back of the house, extensive mahogany built-ins, and large spaces.
